Construction is underway for a new affordable housing development in Downtown Bellevue, reports the Puget Sound Business Journal.
The project from Seattle-based developer Johnson & Carr, located at 228 106th Place NE, calls will consist of an eight-story building featuring 172 studio, one-, and two-bedroom apartments reserved for households earning between 60 and 80 percent of the area median income level - or between $61,530 and $82,040 per year.
Funding sources for the project include more than $20 million from Amazon through its Housing Equity Fund.
Skidmore Janette is the project architect, while W.G. Clark Construction is serving as general contractor.
Completion of 228 106th Place NE is expected in late 2025. The project will be subject to a 99-year affordability covenant.
