Trammell Crow Company subsidiary High Street Residential has announced the start of work on a new multifamily residential development in the Roosevelt neighborhood.
The project, which is being built in partnership with MetLife Investment Management, will rise from a site at 6716 Roosevelt Way NE, a short walk from the Roosevelt Link station . The new seven-story building, which will rise on the south side of NE 68th Street between Roosevelt Way NE and 12th Avenue NE, calls for a total of 244 studio, one-, and two-bedroom dwellings, as well as co-working space, a club room, and ground-floor retail.
The new development, which is slated to achieve LEED Gold certification, is on track to open in late 2026.
High Street Residential has already been active in the neighborhood, completing the nearby Corner 63 apartments in late 2023.
“The success we’ve seen at Corner 63 gives us great confidence in 68th & Roosevelt, which will continue to meet the area’s demand for thoughtfully designed, luxury apartments,” said High Street Residential principal Alan Cantlin, Principal in a news release. “The incredible access and convenience that this site offers will land future residents in the middle of the vibrant Roosevelt neighborhood and within walking distance of numerous shops and restaurants, as well as the nearby light rail station.”
Other members of the project team include architecture firm Weinstein A+U, general contractor Chinn Construction, and property manager Avenue5.
