A pandemic-delayed plan to bring new offices to 1326 N. Northlake Way in Fremont is not quite dead.

The Registry reports that Blue Rooster Development Partners has extended its building permits for the NorthShore project, a proposed 35,000-square-foot mixed-use project centered on commercial offices.

Roughly 80 percent of the square footage of the three-story structure will be office space, with the remaining space accounting for a rooftop deck and ground-floor commercial uses.

Weber Thompson is designing the building, according to The Registry.

Work on the project, originally slated to begin in early 2020, was put on pause as the global pandemic upended the commercial real estate market. While an updated timeline for NorthShore has not been announced, a leasing profile on LoopNet points to a completion date in 2025.
