In West Seattle, Housing Diversity Corp. has announced the completion of a mixed-use apartment building at 9201 Delridge Way SW.
The Keystone Apartments, which replaced an automobile repair shop, consists of a five-story building featuring 74 studio, one-, and two-bedroom apartments above just over 4,200 square feet of ground-floor commercial space. The site is located near Westwood Village, Roxhill Park, and the Longfellow Creek Legacy Trail, as well as the new RapidRide H Line.
All of the apartments are priced for households earning up to 80 percent of the area median income level, including 15 deeply affordable units created through Seattle's Multifamily Tax Exemption program.
"This is exactly the kind of project we love to do ⸺ placing well-designed, affordable homes where people can easily get around without a car," said Housing Diversity Corp. president and chief executive officer Brad Padden. "West Seattle needs more housing options, and we're delivering something that really works for folks that want to be a part of this exciting community."
Atelier Drome designed Keystone, while STS Construction served as both co-sponsor and construction partner.
The project was financed using a combination of a traditional construction loan and a Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy & Resiliency (C-PACER) loan.
