Lowe completes first of two buildings at its Mason & Main project in Yesler Terrace (The Registry): The first building contains 335 units and the second 215-unit tower is set for completion in Q4 of 2022. The LEED Gold project will reserve 137 apartments for people earning 65-80% AMI, and include 6,800 square feet of ground floor retail, 315 parking stalls and a new pocket park.
Evergreen Point's The Line Apartments passes design review in Shoreline (DJC): 241 units near the 145th Street light rail station are anticipated to break ground this summer, replacing four single-family houses. Forty-eight units will be affordable to households making 70% or less of area median income.
Microsoft invests $10.8M in Renton affordable housing project (PSBJ): GMD Development has already broken ground on the 145-unit Watershed, and expects to start lease-up by the end of 2023. The project will be available to households earning an average of 50% to 60% of the annual median income. Microsoft has pledged $750 million to help develop affordable housing in the region.
