Last month, Georgia-based developer Wood Partners and ParkProperty Capital announced the start of work on Alta North City, a new mixed-use residential complex in Shoreline.

The project site at 17712 15th Ave NE, which reportedly cost north of $9 million, is slated for the construction of a new six-story building featuring 228 studio, one-, and two-bedroom apartments, as well as 4,000 square feet of ground-floor commercial space and an outdoor plaza.

"We are beyond excited to officially break ground on our newest mixed-use project, Alta North City, in the growing city of Shoreline, which we hope will provide the perfect balance of city and suburban living for our future residents," said wood Partners managing director Michael Nagy in a news release. "Alta North City highlights Wood Partners' continued expansion within the Seattle marketplace, as well as the company's dedication to providing the highest level of quality and sophistication for residents to enjoy."

The new apartments are expected to incorporate high-end finishes, including quartz countertops and designer backsplashes, as well as stainless steel appliances, wood-style flooring, and in-unit washer-dryer sets. Common elements would include a rooftop deck, a fitness center, a courtyard, and a clubroom.

Wood Partners is also serving as general contractor for the project, and intends to manage the property after completion, which is expected in mid-2025.
